Mysterious Line Dropped in New Avengers: Endgame Clip

Earlier today Marvel released a new clip from their upcoming movie Avengers: Endgame. The clip shows us the remaining Avengers, plus new recruit Carol Danvers at Avengers HQ coming up with a plan to kill Thanos. Now, this clip dropped around midday. And I thought nothing of it. I mean I was still hyped and it was great to see these characters strategise and clash heads. But fast forward a couple of hours later, it seems like I missed a crucial part of this clip. And it turns out that I wasn’t the only one.

Just as Thor goes up to approach Carol you hear a voice say “I have telepathy”. Listen closely down below (Turn up your volume really high)

Crazy right? Once you hear it you can no longer unhear it. From this clip it sounds like Carol’s voice. I’m no expert on the Captain Marvel character so this came as a surprise to me. But it kind of makes sense in the context of the clip. Straight after that line is said she isn’t phased by Thor summoning Stormbreaker right next to her. Maybe she read his mind and saw it coming. Other people have said the voice could possibly be Scarlet Witch as she’s communicating to the Avengers from the soul world. I personally don’t buy this theory. But what do you think of this line?

Avengers 4 Concept Art Shows Major Changes Made To Characters

Information on next year’s Avengers movie has been scarce. We don’t even know what the official title of the movie is yet. However, as we go into September, expect to see Marvel release tons of information on one of their biggest movies ever. I know, I feel like I find myself saying that with every Avengers movie.

A couple of weeks ago this concept art had leaked from Avengers 4. Initially this promo art was labelled as a ‘fake’. However, just a couple of days ago, someone has leaked a better version of this promo art. The most interesting to note about this concept art is how it only features the Avengers who survived the ‘snap’.

Here’s a close up on a few of the characters:

Captain Marvel

Captain Marvel, is expected to play a huge role in Avengers 4. The concept art shows the character in her traditional suit which she will obtain in her solo movie.

Hulk

This might be the most interesting aspect of the concept art. Yes, Hulk in his own suit. It looks odd but, he has had this type of look a number of times in the comics.

Captain America

When looking at Captain America, again, this concept art looks to be accurate. Having seen set photos from Avengers 4, we know Cap will no longer have the beard and will be wearing an earlier version of his suit.

The likes of Iron Man, Thor and Rocket remain unchanged from Avengers: Infinity War:

First Official Look At Shazam!

For months fans have been waiting to see the first official look at Shazam in costume. While we have been graced with set photos already it’s get the full picture when it comes to a character such as Shazam who needs a lot of VFX done in post because of his abilites. I was one of the many who couldn’t wait to get our first official look at Shazam as I was expecting it to be revealed at SDCC tin July during Warner Bros. panel but Zachary Levi (Shazam himself) had other ideas.

Zachary Levi took to Instagram to give us our first look at Shazam with a promotional image for the film:

Just by looking at this image if you’ve never read a Shazam/Captain Marvel comic you can see that this film will have a much lighter tone. After all this is a kid inside the body of a superhero and I believe this image captures that well. With the way Zachary Levi interacts with fans on Twitter I can really see him pulling off this role, he comes across as a kid himself too with how excited he is about this film.¬†One thing I wanted to point out if you look closely right next to Zachary Levi you can see the arm of someone holding a trident. My initial reaction says it’s Aquaman since this was a Licensing Expo which featured Warner Bros. other properties such as Wonder Woman and Fantastic Beasts. It would make sense to put Aquaman next to Shazam. The promotion for James Wan’s Aquaman movie should be starting soon since the film is 7 months away. Overall things are looking promising as a DC fan I’m hearing nothing but good things about Shazam, Aquaman and Wonder Woman 2.

Shazam is personally one of my most anticipated comic book movies, I can’t wait to see what David Sandberg has done with this childlike superhero next year.

Shazam is set to be released 5 April, 2019
